Ian Kidd Profile

Ian Kidd was born in Hemel Hempstead and originally ventured as an artist, loving a Foundation Course in Art & Design at Watford college before going to the University of Central Lancashire to study Time Based Media (Film, photography, music, animation, performance). Although coming away with a very good qualification he found himself with debts to pay and overqualified for most film industry jobs, where they want you young, living at home with your parents and willing to work for nothing as a tea boy whilst you work your way up. Money was required, and he found himself getting office jobs and enjoying working as part of a team instead of as a solitary artist. In 1999 he found a job at The UK Office Ltd, who at the time were distributors for Pro-Audio studio equipment as well as Broadcast Comms equipment. Working there for another seven and a half years, Ian was involved in all aspects of the company as General Manager and now continues to be involved as a consultant.
